Christian views on Freemasonry

Christian views on Freemasonry are that it is not compatible with a Christian lifestyle. This is because many of the practices and symbols used by Freemasons are seen as being against Christian beliefs. The Christian Church teaches that God alone is the source of all wisdom and knowledge, and that any other ways of trying to gain knowledge are not going to give us anything that is in line with God's will. For example, Freemasonry teaches the use of rituals and symbolism that are viewed by many Christians as going against what the Bible teaches. Some churches have even gone so far as to say that Christians should not take part in Freemasonry.
