Christianization of Armenia is when the people of Armenia accepted Christianity as their religion. It happened during the 4th Century A.D., which is over 1600 years ago. The King of Armenia at the time was a Christian, and the country accepted Christianity as the state religion. Over time, Christianity became a very important part of Armenian culture and traditions. People built churches and monasteries, wrote religious books and songs, and followed the teachings of Jesus. Today, most people in Armenia are Christians and Christianity is still an important part of their culture.
