ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Chronotype

Chronotype is a fancy word that describes whether you are more of a morning or night person. Think of it like a little clock inside your body that tells you when it's time to wake up and when it's time to go to bed.

Some people's clocks go off early in the morning, which means they feel more awake and alert in the morning and start to feel sleepy earlier in the evening. These are called "morning people" or "early birds."

Other people's clocks go off later in the morning or early afternoon, which means they feel more alert and awake in the evening and stay up later at night. These are called "night owls."

Everyone's body is different, and people can fall somewhere in between the two extremes. Knowing your chronotype can help you schedule your day in a way that maximizes your energy and productivity.
