Chroot

Chroot is a way of separating part of your computer so it acts like a different computer. It's like building a wall inside your computer, so one side acts as if it's in a different world. In this way, you can test out new programs without them affecting your normal computer settings. Chroot also helps keep your computer more secure, since programs running inside the wall can't get access to your data outside of it.
