Church of the East in China
There was a long time ago a group of people who wanted to worship God in a special way. These people were from a place called the Church of the East. They thought that it would be good to spread the word of God to other parts of the world, so they traveled very very far and reached a place called China.
When they got to China, the people there were very curious about them and their religion. They were especially interested in the magic things that they could do, like making water turn into wine, which was really special to the people in China.
The people in China liked their religion so much that they built some special places for them to worship in. They called these places "Nestorian temples". These were like small buildings with pretty decorations and symbols that represented the Church of the East.
