Citizens Commission on Human Rights

Okay kiddo, so you know how people should treat each other with kindness and respect, right? Well, sometimes people can be mean or do bad things to others. That's where the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) comes in.

They are a group of people who want to make sure that everyone has their human rights protected. Human rights means things like the right to be treated fairly, the right to be safe, and the right to make your own choices in life.

The CCHR works to make sure that people who are being treated unfairly or who are not getting the help they need, like in mental health, are given the chance to speak up about it. They educate people about what their rights are, and they work with lawmakers and government officials to make sure laws are fair and protect people's rights.

The CCHR also investigates cases where people are being mistreated, especially in the mental health system, and helps those people get the support they need.

So, the CCHR is kind of like a group of superhero helpers, making sure that everyone gets to be happy, safe, and have their rights protected.
