ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Civil code

A civil code is a big book of rules that tells us how we should behave and treat each other in certain situations. Just like how we have rules at home or in school, a civil code sets rules for how people should act in society.

For example, the civil code might have rules about how people can buy and sell things, like a toy or a car. It would tell us what we need to do to make sure we're being fair and honest. It might also have rules about how people can get married, buy a house, or make a will.

The civil code helps us make decisions by giving us clear rules to follow. It also helps make sure everyone is treated fairly and has the same rights. So, in a way, it's like a big book of good behavior that helps us all get along and live safely together.
