Claytronics

Claytronics is a type of technology that would allow you to create 3D objects just like clay. But instead of using clay, it would use tiny robots that are the size of grains of sand. These robots can move around and build up to form a 3D shape. It's like having real 3D objects, but made out of really small robots instead of clay!
