ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Clean elections

Clean elections are when the officials who are running for office follow the laws and procedures that have been set up by the government to make sure that the elections- and the people voting- are fair. This means that no candidates can do things like give out money or gifts to get people to vote for them. They also can't lie about the other candidates or their own resumes. Finally, the votes are counted openly, so everyone can be sure that all the ballots were counted accurately.
