Clear and hold

Clear and Hold is a technique used by security forces to ensure that an area is safe from any possible danger or threat. Imagine that you are playing a game where you have to find all the toys in your room. Before you start looking for the toys, you need to make sure that the floor is clean so that you don't step on something sharp and hurt yourself.

Similarly, when security forces conduct a Clear and Hold operation, they first clear the area of any possible danger, like bad people or dangerous things. This means they check all the corners, rooms, and buildings to make sure there's nothing dangerous left behind.

Once the area is cleared, the team then holds it, which means they keep a close eye on the area to make sure that no new danger enters. Just like you keep your toys in a safe place after you find them, the security forces ensure that the area they cleared stays safe from any further threats. They might stay in the area for a while, watching and waiting to see if anything suspicious happens.

Clear and Hold is an important technique to keep both people and places safe. It's kind of like vacuuming your room, but on a much bigger scale!
