ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Clearness committee

A clearness committee is a group of grown-ups who come together to help someone who needs to make a decision. Let's say that someone wants to make a big choice, like changing jobs or getting married, but they're not sure if it's the right thing to do. They might ask for the help of a clearness committee.

When the group meets, they will listen carefully to the person who needs help. They won't give advice or tell them what to do. Instead, they'll ask questions and encourage the person to think deeply about what they really want and what is best for them.

The clearness committee will be very patient and kind. They won't try to judge the person or make them feel bad for not knowing what to do. They'll listen carefully and respect the person's feelings and thoughts.

By the end of the meeting, the person might have a clearer idea of what they want to do. But the most important thing is that they will feel supported and loved by the clearness committee. They will know that they have people who care about them and want to help them make the best decision for their life.
