ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Climate of Florida

Hi there! Today we're going to talk about the climate of Florida, which is a big state in the southeastern United States! When we talk about climate, we're talking about the weather patterns and conditions of an area over a long period of time.

Florida has a really warm and humid climate, which means it can get pretty hot and sticky there! In the summertime, it's usually around 90°F (32°C) during the day, which can feel very hot for people who aren't used to it. At night, the temperature usually cools off a bit, but it can still be pretty warm and muggy.

Sometimes there are thunderstorms in Florida during the summer, which can be really cool to watch! But they can also be dangerous, so it's important to listen to weather warnings and stay safe.

During the wintertime, it's usually not as hot in Florida, but it still doesn't get very cold. The temperature during the day might be around 70°F (21°C), which can feel pretty nice!

Florida also gets a lot of rain throughout the year, especially during the summer. This is because Florida is close to the ocean, which can make the air really humid.

So, to sum up: Florida has a warm and humid climate with hot summers, mild winters, and lots of rain. Thanks for learning with me today!
