Climate-friendly school

Climate-friendly schools are schools that try to help reduce the amount of pollution and waste in the environment. They do this by making small changes to the way they run their school and by teaching kids about how to be more eco-friendly. For example, a climate-friendly school might replace traditional light bulbs with more energy-efficient LED lightbulbs, use paperless teaching methods, or install solar panels to generate electricity. They might also start a compost program that turns food scraps into nutrient-rich soil and they might even encourage kids to ride their bikes to school or carpool with other families. Even little things like using reusable bottles and bags can add up and make a big impact when done by many people. All of these actions help reduce emissions, clean up the air, save energy, and create a healthier environment to learn and play in.
