Climax (narrative)

Okay, so you know how sometimes when we watch a movie or read a book, there is a really exciting part where everything reaches a peak? This is called the climax! It's like the most intense part of the story.

Think about how when we go up a rollercoaster, we keep going higher and higher until we reach the very top. That's the climax of the ride! After that, there might be a sudden drop or a slow descent, but the thrill has already happened.

The same thing happens with a story. The author or filmmaker builds up the tension and the action until we reach a point where everything is really intense. This is usually the turning point in the story. After the climax, things start to calm down and there might be a resolution to the conflict or problem that was being addressed.

So always remember, the climax is the exciting part where everything comes together and it's the most memorable part of the story!
