Clinker is like the poop that comes out of a factory's bottom. When grown up people make things like cement or concrete, they heat up special rocks to super high temperatures in big ovens.
After heating up these rocks for a while, what comes out of the oven is called clinker. It is hard and lumpy and it's not worth much. Sometimes the people who make things like cement have to get rid of the clinker by throwing it away or dumping it.
Even though it's not valuable, it's still harmful to the environment. Because it comes from industrial processes, it often contains toxic substances that can harm people, animals and plants if it gets into the ground or water. That is why it is very important to dispose of clinker in a safe and responsible way.
