Closed captioning

Closed captioning is like a way to let people watch TV shows or movies even if they can't hear. Instead of hearing the sound, you can read the words that people are saying as text at the bottom of the screen. Usually, the text is white with a black background, so it's easy to read. Some programs also let you choose different colors to make the text easier to read.
