Clotted cream

Okay, so have you ever had cream on your pancakes or scones? Well, clotted cream is kinda like that, but it's a thicker and creamier version of it.

Clotted cream is made by taking fresh cow's milk and putting it in a shallow dish. Then, the dish is placed in an oven and heated up slowly for a long time. This warming process causes a layer of cream to form on the top of the milk.

Once the cream has formed, it is carefully separated from the milk and cooled. The result is this thick and velvety substance that can be spread on toast or used as a topping for desserts.

It's really popular in England and is often served with scones for afternoon tea. Some people even think it's better than butter! And that's pretty much how clotted cream is made - it's just heated up milk that turns into a really yummy, thick cream.
