Cobalamin biosynthesis

Cobalamin biosynthesis is when your body makes something called Vitamin B12. This vitamin is really important for your body to be healthy and work the way it's supposed to.

Your body can't just make this vitamin on its own though, so it has to go through a few different steps to create it.

First, your body needs to make something called cobalt atoms. These atoms are like tiny, tiny building blocks that are used to create the vitamin.

Next, your body needs to use different enzymes (which are like tiny machines) to take these cobalt atoms and stick them together with other building blocks to make the vitamin.

Finally, once the vitamin is created, your body can use it to help make new cells in your body, keep your brain working well, and help give you energy.

It may seem like a lot of work just to make one vitamin, but it's really important for your body to have it to stay healthy!
