Coca-colonization is when a country or region adopts (or is influenced by) the culture of a larger, more powerful country. This means that the values, beliefs, customs, and products of that larger country become more common in the other country or region. The most common example of coca-colonization is when the food, drink, and culture of the United States, such as Coca-Cola, hamburgers, and American movies, become popular in other parts of the world. Even though coca-colonization is usually associated with the US, it can happen in any region or country that is influenced by a larger, more powerful one.
