ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Codification (law)

Codification is like putting all the rules and laws in one big book that is easy to read and follow. So, imagine there are many rules and laws that people have to follow but they are all written in different places and can be hard to understand. So, a group of people decide to put them all in one big book so everyone can find them easily and know what they have to follow. It's like having a big menu in a restaurant, you can see all the food options in one place and choose what you want to eat. The codification is like that but for laws and rules. This makes it easier for everyone to understand what they can and cannot do.
