Coercive diplomacy is a type of foreign policy which uses threats (like economic sanctions) to force another nation or group to do something. It is used to get the other group to change their behavior, like making them stop doing something bad. The goal of coercive diplomacy is to find a peaceful solution to a conflict, instead of using military force. To put it simply, coercive diplomacy is like telling someone "If you don't stop doing this, then I'm going to make something bad happen to you".
