Coffee boiling

Okay kiddo, let's talk about coffee boiling. You know how when we want our hot chocolate to be hot, we put it in a microwave or heat it up on a stove? Well, coffee needs to be heated up too so we can drink it.

When we heat up coffee on a stove, we place a pot with water and coffee beans on the burner, and we turn up the heat. As the water starts to heat up, it reaches a temperature where tiny bubbles start to rise up to the top. We call these bubbles the "boiling point".

The boiling point of water is 212 degrees Fahrenheit or 100 degrees Celsius. So, when the temperature of the water in the pot reaches 212 degrees Fahrenheit, it starts to boil, and that's what we call coffee boiling.

When the water is boiling, it gets all hot and steamy, and that's when the coffee beans start to give off their flavor and aroma, and that's what makes the coffee taste so delicious.

But, we have to be careful not to boil the coffee for too long. If we keep boiling it for too long, all the water will be gone, and we'll be left with a burnt coffee bean mess. So, we need to keep an eye on the coffee and make sure we turn off the heat before it burns.

And that, my dear five-year-old friend, is how we boil coffee.
