Cold brew tea

Cold brew tea is a special way to make tea without using hot water. Instead, we use cold or room temperature water to make the tea. This process takes a longer time, usually around 6 to 12 hours, so we have to be patient.

First, we take our favorite tea leaves or tea bags and put them in a container. It can be a jar or a pitcher, as long as it can hold water and fit in the fridge. Then, we add the cold or room temperature water to the container, making sure all the tea leaves or bags are covered. We give it a little stir to make sure everything is mixed together nicely.

Now, here comes the waiting part. We have to let the tea steep in the water for several hours. It's like a giant tea party that happens in the fridge! While the tea is steeping, the water slowly absorbs the flavors and goodness from the tea leaves or bags. This makes the tea taste really delicious and refreshing.

After the waiting time is up, we take out the container and strain the tea to separate the tea leaves or bags from the liquid. We can use a strainer or a colander with a fine mesh to do this. The liquid that is left is the cold brew tea! You can drink it right away or put it back in the fridge to make it even cooler.

One of the best things about cold brew tea is that it has a milder and smoother taste compared to traditional hot tea. Because the water wasn't heated, it didn't extract as much bitterness from the tea leaves. This means the cold brew tea is less bitter and more gentle on your taste buds.

You can also have fun experimenting with different flavors. You can try different types of tea like black tea, green tea, or herbal tea. You can even add some fruits or herbs to the cold brew tea to give it an extra kick of flavor. Just remember to enjoy it responsibly and drink plenty of water too!
