College athletics in the United States

Okay kiddo, so college athletics in the United States means that when you go to study at a college or university, you can also play sports! These sports are organized into teams, and different colleges have different sports they like to play.

When you join a college sports team, it means you get to travel to other colleges and play games against their sports teams too! And if you do really well, you might even get to go to big championships where lots of colleges compete against each other!

Now, there are lots of different rules around college athletics. For example, you have to keep up with your schoolwork and meet certain grades to be eligible to play on a team. You also can't get paid for playing, because college sports are supposed to be about having fun and being a part of a team, not making money.

Lastly, there are different levels of college athletics. Some colleges have really big and famous sports teams that lots of people watch on TV, while others are smaller and more local. But no matter what level, being on a college sports team is a fun and exciting way to make friends and take part in something you love!
