ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Combination weigher

Have you ever played with different blocks or toys that come in different shapes and sizes? Imagine if you needed to weigh each toy to make sure they all weighed the same amount. That would take a long time and it might not be very accurate.

That's where the combination weigher comes in! It's like a special toy sorter that can weigh and mix different types of toys together to make sure they all weigh the same amount. You put all of the toys in the machine and it uses special sensors to weigh each one.

Then, it groups the toys by weight and mixes them together until each group weighs the exact same amount. This is really helpful for things like packaging food or other products because it ensures that each package has the exact same amount of product in it.

So, the combination weigher is like a weight sorter for toys, but it's actually used to make sure things we buy have the same amount of stuff in them. Pretty cool, right?
