Okay kiddo, imagine you and your friends are trying to pick what type of pizza to get for your sleepover. But here's the catch - everyone has to only pick their top 2 choices.
Combined Approval Voting is just like that! It's a way for a lot of people to vote on a lot of choices, but they don't have to choose just one. They can pick a few favorites, up to a certain number.
So in our pizza example, everyone would write down their favorite two types of pizza. Then, everyone's choices would be combined to see which few pizzas got the most votes. And the pizza with the most votes overall would be the winner!
This kind of voting can be really helpful when there's a lot of choices, but no one choice is perfect for everyone. It lets people show what they like instead of just having to pick one thing. And that way, the most people can be happy with the final decision!
