Come-along
A come-along is a tool that helps you lift things that are too heavy for you to lift by yourself. It has a long rope or chain with a hook on one end and a lever on the other.
Let's say you want to move a big rock from one place to another, but you can't lift it by yourself. You would attach the come-along's hook to the rock and the other end of the rope or chain to something that's strong and won't move, like a tree or a truck.
