Commagene

Commagene was a place a long time ago where people used to live. It was located in what is now modern-day Turkey. The people who lived there had their own special language and their own way of doing things.

One of the most famous things about Commagene is a big mountain called Mount Nemrut. The people who lived in Commagene built a big statue of their king, Antiochus I, on top of the mountain. The statue was very tall and had a lion and an eagle next to it. The people of Commagene believed that the statue showed that their king was important and powerful.

Commagene is not a country anymore, but people still like to visit Mount Nemrut to see the statue and learn about the history of the place.
