ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Commercialization of love

When two people really like each other, they might want to show it by giving each other special gifts, doing nice things for each other, or spending time together. All of these things are ways to show love. But sometimes, companies see this love and try to make money off of it. They might make special toys, cards, or even movies that are all about love. They want people to buy these things because they think it will make their love even stronger.

But the problem is, love shouldn't be something you have to buy. Love should come from the heart and be genuine. Companies are trying to make people believe that they need to buy things in order to show love, when really, love isn't about things. It's about how you treat someone and how you feel about them.

So even though it might seem like buying a present for someone can show love, remember that real love is about the way you treat them every day, and not just on special occasions. Don't let companies trick you into thinking you have to spend money to show how much you care.
