Communications Decency Act

The Communications Decency Act is a law that was made in the United States to help regulate the use of the internet. It tries to help make sure that things that are inappropriate or harmful can't be spread online. It's kind of like a set of rules that grown-ups made to help keep kids safe when they use the internet.

The law says that people can't do certain things on the internet, like using bad language or showing scary or violent things to others. It also says that websites can't let people do those things on their pages or they might get in trouble. kind of like how mom and dad have to make sure you don’t watch scary movies or shows that aren’t age appropriate.

The goal is to keep the internet a safe and friendly place for everyone to use.
