Community of Latin American and Caribbean States

The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) is a group of countries in Latin America and the Caribbean that works together to make things better for people who live in the region. For example, the group might work together to stop crime, protect forests, or provide better access to health care. Being in CELAC means that all the countries have agreed to do things together for the good of the region.
