ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Community-driven development

Community-driven development is like when you and your friends want to build a treehouse in the backyard. You all talk to each other to figure out what kind of treehouse you want to build and what things you want it to have. Then, you all work together to gather materials and build the treehouse.

In the same way, community-driven development is when people in a community work together to make their community better. They talk about what kinds of things they want to improve, like schools or roads, and then they work together to make those things happen.

The people who live in the community are the ones who know what's best for their community, so they are the ones who make decisions about what needs to be done. This way, the community is stronger and more united because everyone is working together to make it better.
