ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Compartment coach

A compartment coach is like a big room on wheels where people can sit and travel from one place to another. The coach is divided into separate spaces called compartments, which are like smaller rooms inside the big room. Each compartment has seats for a certain number of people, usually six or eight, and there is a door or curtain to close it off from the other compartments.

These coaches are often used on trains for long-distance journeys. People can reserve a compartment for themselves and their family or friends, and they can enjoy some privacy while traveling. It's like having your own little space on the train where you can sit, relax, and even sleep if you want to.

The compartments usually have big windows so you can see the scenery outside as you travel. They also have shelves for your luggage, and sometimes even a small table or sink. The coach may have a bathroom at the end for everyone to use.

Overall, a compartment coach is a comfortable and convenient way to travel by train, especially if you want some privacy or need a place to rest during a long journey.
