Complex conjugates are two things that are connected but slightly different. Imagine being twins. You and your twin are very similar looking, but you each have something that only you have. That's kind of like complex conjugates. They're similar, but with one small difference. In math, complex conjugates are numbers that have the same value-- but with a negative sign on one of them. For example, if one number is 3+4i, then its complex conjugate is 3-4i.
