Computational-representational understanding of mind

Computational-representational understanding of the mind is a way of thinking about how people think. It suggests that the way people think is similar to a computer: people take information in, process it, and then use it to decide how to act. This means that instead of trying to understand how people think by looking at their behavior, we can try to understand their thinking by looking at how they represent (think about) information.
