ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Conceptual system

Okay kiddo, a conceptual system is like a big collection of ideas that helps us understand the world around us. Imagine you have a toy box with lots of different toys inside, and each toy helps you play in a different way. In the same way, a conceptual system is like a giant toy box that has lots of ideas that help us think about different things.

For example, when we learn about different colors like red and blue, we can put them into our conceptual system so that we understand how they are different from each other. As we learn more and more, our conceptual system gets bigger and helps us understand more complex things, like how birds can fly or how plants grow.

Just like you can organize your toy box by putting similar toys together, we can organize our conceptual system by grouping similar ideas together. This makes it easier for us to remember and understand all the different things we learn. Isn't that cool?
