Concrete grinder

So, have you ever seen a big, heavy machine that seems to eat up the surface of a sidewalk or a floor or a wall? That machine is called a concrete grinder.

Imagine you are playing with your play-doh and you accidentally smush it into the carpet. Your mom or dad might get a special tool called a vacuum cleaner to suck up the bits of play-doh from the carpet. Well, a concrete grinder is like a vacuum cleaner, but for concrete surfaces.

Sometimes concrete surfaces, like floors or walls or sidewalks, can get really rough or have scratches or bumps on them, which can make them not look very nice. That's where the concrete grinder comes in. It uses special discs or pads that spin around really fast and grind down the rough or scratchy or bumpy parts of the concrete, making it smooth and shiny.

Just like how your mom or dad cleans up the play-doh mess with the vacuum cleaner, the concrete grinder cleans up the roughness and scratches on the concrete surface. It's a really cool machine!
