Condottiero

Okay kiddo, a condottiero is like a boss who hires soldiers to fight for him. Imagine you have a lemonade stand and you need more customers to come so you can sell more lemonades. You hire some of your friends to help you advertise and get more customers. A condottiero does the same thing, but instead of selling lemonade, they hire soldiers to fight for them. These soldiers are called mercenaries and they get paid by the condottiero to do the fighting. The condottiero would make a lot of money by winning battles for other people or countries. So, a condottiero is like a boss who hires soldiers to fight and make money.
