Conductive hearing loss

Okay, so imagine you have a toy phone in your hand and you want to hear someone talking to you through it. But there is a problem - something is blocking your toy phone, like your hand or a pillow or even a wall. Because of this, you can't hear the person talking clearly.

Something similar happens with our ears when we have conductive hearing loss. Our ears have a tiny little part called the middle ear, which has three little bones that help us hear sounds properly. But sometimes, something goes wrong in this part and it can't work the way it should. This could be because of an infection, a blockage or even a problem with the bones themselves.

When this happens, the sounds from outside need to go through a "blockage" just like our toy phone. This makes it harder for us to hear things clearly, just like how you couldn't hear the person talking clearly through your toy phone. So, if you have conductive hearing loss, it means that there is something blocking your ear and stopping you from hearing things properly.
