Conjugal dictatorship is when two people, usually a husband and wife, work together to rule and control a government. This means that one person can't make all the decisions by themselves; instead, decisions are jointly made. It is similar to a monarchy, where one person holds nearly all the power, but it is also different because two people share the power instead of just one. This is sometimes seen in countries where the husband and wife were elected to rule, by the people in the country, but it might also happen in a country where one of the rulers takes over power and then brings their spouse in to work alongside them. Conjugal dictatorships are usually not very democratic, and it is usually difficult to get rid of them.
