Conoid

A conoid is a big fancy word for a shape that looks like a cone, but is not quite a perfect cone. It's like when you draw a cone shape with a crayon, but then you squish it a little bit on one side, so that it looks more like a party hat than a perfect ice cream cone.

People use the word conoid to describe things that are shaped like a slightly flattened cone, such as the shape of a dent in a car or the shape of a roof on a house. It's not a shape that you'll see every day, but it's a useful word when you need to describe something that is almost a cone, but not quite.

So, a conoid is basically a cone that's been squished a little bit, and people use this word to describe different objects with a similar shape.
