Conseil du Roi

The "conseil du roi" is a fancy way of saying "the king's council." Just like how you might have a group of friends who you ask for advice or help, a king has a group of important people who help him make decisions and run the country.

The people on the king's council usually include other important people like nobles, trusted advisors, and sometimes even family members like brothers or cousins. They meet with the king to talk about important things like laws, taxes, and how to keep everyone in the country safe and happy.

Sometimes, a king might have a really important decision to make, like whether to go to war or how to deal with a big problem in the country. When this happens, the king will call a special meeting of his council to discuss the options and come up with a plan.

So, the "conseil du roi" is really just a group of important advisors who help the king make good decisions for his kingdom.
