Consideration under English law

Consideration under English law means an exchange of something that has value. This is usually between two people when one agrees to do something in exchange for something else. For example, if Person A agrees to mow Person B's lawn for free, Person B can give Person A a cake in exchange. This is consideration because the cake has value, and it's an exchange of something for something else.
