Contemporary Latin
Contemporary Latin is a fancy way of saying that people still use and speak Latin today. Latin is a very old language that was used a long time ago by the ancient Romans. Even though no one really speaks Latin as their first language anymore, there are still lots of people who learn it and use it in different ways.
For example, some people use Latin when they study things like science or medicine because many important words and phrases come from Latin. It's kinda like a secret code that scientists and doctors can use to talk to each other about complicated things.
