Okay kiddo, so you know how we have air all around us and we breathe it in to stay alive? Well, sometimes some of the things we do, like drive cars or use factories, can make the air not so good for us to breathe.
Now, imagine if you lived in one country and your neighbor lived in another. If your neighbor did something that made the air bad, it could blow over to your country and affect your air too! This is where the Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution comes in.
This is like a big promise that lots of countries made to work together and try to keep the air clean and healthy for everyone. They decided to set limits on how much pollution they could put into the air and they also promised to help each other out if something bad happened in one country and it affected others.
This is really important because it helps all of us breathe clean air and stay healthy!
