ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Conversion (law)

Conversion is when someone takes something that belongs to someone else without their permission and uses it for themselves. It's like when you're playing with someone's toy without their permission or taking a cookie from someone's cookie jar without asking.

In law, conversion is taken very seriously because it means that one person has taken something that belongs to another person and is using it without their permission. This is not allowed because everyone has the right to their own things and it's not fair if someone else takes them without asking.

So if someone takes your toy or your cookie without your permission, that's not okay. And if someone takes your car or your phone without your permission, that's also not okay and they could get in trouble with the law.
