Coptic Canadians
So, you know how there are lots of different religions in the world? Well, one religion is called Coptic Christianity. It started a long, long time ago in Egypt, which is a country in Africa.
Some people who believe in Coptic Christianity moved to Canada to live there. They became known as Coptic Canadians. They have their own churches where they go to pray and sing songs.
Coptic Christians have some different beliefs and traditions than other Christians. They celebrate Christmas on January 7th instead of December 25th, and they have their own alphabet that looks different from the one we use in English.
Just like any other group of people in Canada, Coptic Canadians have their own culture and traditions that make them special. They might eat different types of food or wear special clothing. But at the end of the day, they are just people who believe in something different, and that is okay.
