Cordillera

A cordillera is just a big group of mountains that are all stuck together. So imagine if you took a bunch of big pillows and piled them on top of each other. Now imagine those pillows are the big, tall mountains you might see in pictures or in movies. The cordillera is like the big pile of all those mountains together. It happens when the ground under the mountains gets pushed up and creates really big formations. All those mountains together can make a really interesting landscape. People might like to hike or climb on the cordillera to see what they can find.
