Corn fritters

Corn fritters are yummy little pancakes made out of cornmeal that taste like sweet corn. They're called fritters because they're fried in oil until they get nice and crispy on the outside.

To make corn fritters, first we mix together some cornmeal, flour, eggs, milk, and sugar in a bowl. Then, we add in some frozen, canned, or fresh corn kernels for extra corn flavor.

Once the batter is mixed together, it's time to fry the fritters. We heat up some oil in a pan until it's nice and hot. Then, we use a spoon to drop in little dollops of batter into the oil. The oil will sizzle and bubble as we cook the fritters for a few minutes on each side until they're golden brown and crispy.

After the fritters are cooked, we take them out of the oil and put them on a plate with a paper towel to soak up any extra oil. Then, we can eat them plain, or add toppings like maple syrup or whipped cream for a tasty treat!

In short, corn fritters are little pancakes made out of cornmeal that are fried in oil until they're crispy on the outside. They taste like sweet corn and can be eaten plain or with fun toppings!
