Cornwall

Cornwall is a place in England where lots of people like to visit because it is really pretty with lots of beaches and countryside. It is a bit different from other parts of England because the people there have their own language called Cornish and they also have their own flag, which looks like a black cross on a white background with a white herring on each arm.

Cornwall has been around for a very long time and used to be a place where people would mine for metals like tin and copper. This made Cornwall very important, but over time people started to find these metals in other places so Cornwall became less important for mining.

Nowadays, people still come to Cornwall to go on holiday or to live there because it's a really lovely place to be with lots of fun things to do. Some people even say that Cornwall feels a bit like a different country altogether because it has such a strong identity and unique culture.
